Hejpadej, yes thats unfair but things like that can be expected , esp in 1st week of yr when the changes apparently have been made/announced quite late (I was unaware of it till this posting). Most of these discounts were/are in fact more commercial offers of companies, trying to gain more custom that way.
Most of the IT of EUrail seems to be run by NS (railways in NL), notorious for its sloppy IT
It occasionally also goes the other way: newly set up yet another SE traincomp, did not announce anywhere it would accept passes-leading to quite some irate postings here, but then kind of discovered this pass and then decided-or was pressed to-accepting it.
Interesting that there is a contract for this… wonder if Interrail pays something to the ferry operators for this. Always thought the companies offering these benefits are seeing it as some free marketing which brings some extra customers to them ^^
Not sure who is benefitting the most from these partnerships but clearly it’s damaging to interrail if they don’t keep their benefits up-to-date. Planning train trips (esp. budgeting them) is already a major hurdle. They shoot themselves in the foot if they claim discounts which just don’t exist.
Well you are absolutely right. A lot of such things have been forwarded to the Eurail Team but nothing was changed it seems
@regentravel
@rvdborgt already asked the eurail team in a different section of this Community and yes currently even in this section is less activity from the Eurail staff as there have been currently a lot changes :/
e.g. the Position of Nanja (the former head admins that was quite active) is still open on the Career page of Eurail.
