foreign passport

Peter Savee

I was wondering if I can use a foreign passport to travel on an Interrail pass. I live in Germany, a EU Country, I wonder if it’s okay for me to use My US passport numbers in the Interrail pass or do you need a European ID for this pass?

Hi,

if you live in Germany, you can buy an Interrail Pass, but you have to know that you can use with his pass only on 2 days the pass in your home country Germany.

There is also the same pass for non-Europeans, called Eurail Pass.

If you buy a Eurail pass and use your US passport, no one will question that and you will have no limitations for travelling in Germany.

If you buy an Interrail pass with Germany as country of residence you can, as @Angelo said, only travel on 2 days in Germany. You should also bring some proof of your residency in Germany.
