How I can do that? I can start from Trieste but then I prefer to go by train instead of car

Hi, it depends the route you will take.
But my tip is further south you go, it is not possible to reserve a seat online. Only at ticket offices of middle and east European train companies like Deutsche Bahn, Hungarian MAV-START or directly at the ticket office of the train company that run the train.
