I intend travelling from the UK to France this autumn for the Rugby World Cup.
Do I need a Global Pass as I intend using the Eurail Pass for the Eurostar - from London to Paris/Lille & back - and for travel in France hence I will be travelling in 2 countries?

Yes. One country pass is not valid on Eurostar.
Before buying a pass you should check Eurostar availability (and book ASAP) as passholder availability sells out before the general allocation.
