Planning on getting a Eurail Global pass 22 Days for November and December travelling through Switzerland 8 days then onto Germany starting at Stuttgart for Christmas markets tour. Just want to know can we travel from Luzern to Stuttgart using the Eurail pass or do we have to go through Basel to get to Germany? Have read this on another site. Thanks for any advice.

You can take whichever route you like. The most obvious routes from Luzern to Stuttgart go either via Basel or via Zurich.

There are some reservation requirements in Summer, but these won't apply to you in November.

Hi there,

Good choice of destination, my girlfriend and I had a 3-month pass and visited 13 different countries. However, Switzerland was definitely our favourite, so enjoy!

I have written a blog on Interrail in Switzerland, which I am very happy with.

Maybe you would like to have a read?

You can find it here : themoblog.substack.com

Have a great day!
