Help! Bought Rail Europe seat reservation & chose Eurail Global Pass 2nd class

Hi

With the help of fellow Eurail community members, I was able to purchase seat reservation for May 11 CDG to Strasbourg. I couldn’t find Eurail France pass 2nd class, so I chose Eurail Global Pass 2nd class and bought 3 seat reservations.

Help Rail Europe replied with the following: 

Please note that you have a single country pass, due to which you won't be able to book the seat reservation on our website, as we do not have the option to add a single country pass currently on our website. 

 

Is it true that I can’t purchase seat reservation from Rail Europe with my Eurail France pass 2nd class?

Does anyone know how refund works with Rail Europe? [I’ve since found the cancellation option inside the app and have requested that.]

Please help!

The global pass option is entirely fine with a Eurail France pass, for a domestic journey in France.

Thank you @rvdborgt I wasn’t aware and therefore booked the seat reservations through this link  https://travel.b-europe.com/Eurail-GE/en/booking-tgv#TravelWish

I didn’t want to have issues when I’m actually in France and taking the TGV. 

I guess this customer service agent of RailEurope.com didn’t know his stuff.  ☹️

Looks like it. There's only 1 discount option for Eurail in France. The link you used to book will result in a very similar reservation as the one from Rail Europe.
