A pass day is every train you take that starts between midnight and midnight, you can stay on the last train for it’s full journey but can not change to another train after midnight without starting the second day on the pass.

In the other direction, it would just be one travel day, because you take the Eurostar to Brussels and then board the sleeper train all on Day 1.
