Hi ! I don't have a smartphone. I would like to buy a global pass before this weekend. Is it impossible just because I choose not to have a smartphone ?

You can not use a mobile pass without a compatible device; Android or Apple phone or tablet that meets the specifications.

It is still possible to buy paper passes in person in some European countries at ticket offices.

I believe you can still get them at major stations in Belgium and Germany but possibly not in France, some of the other members on here know more about where still sells them in person, they may have more knowledge.

There are also some online sellers that offer quick delivery but NOT Eurail/Interrail themselves.

UK based www.myinterrail.co.uk offers quick delivery but I’d contact them first to see if your timeline is achievable before ordering.

Thanks for reply.

My choice is to buy a paper Global Pass. But, as I understand, it will be hard to get it before my departure.

OK. My country is France. Should I ask ton SNCF for this issue ?

Yes ask them and please let us know what they say. I'm also curious.

@RXINA

I found this information. I guess that SNCF ticket offices no longer have printers for security paper (IATA format).

That could be true, but SNCF don't explicitly say that they don't sell the paper pass anymore. They could do like Belgian or Dutch railways, who don't have security paper anymore either: use the Eurail application and printer at certain ticket offices to sell paper passes.
