Hi,

I took EU rail passes for.my parents from india.

We started our journey from munich to zurich(day 1) and want to travel.back to munich.(day2)

Will the return trip be counted an outbound trip , i have a 15 day -2month pass.

Thanks.

If you have a Eurail pass, there is no need to think about inbound and outbound days. That only applies to Interrail pass for those of us who live in Europe.

You can travel wherever you like on a travel day. Your plan would use two travel days.

Hi,

I plan to travel with my parents and I hold an interrail pass (15 daya, only 5 days used  with 2 month validiy )as I live in germany. So for me to continue using my pass and not exhaust my outbound upto which station can I use the interrail pass, so I can buy the remaining leg separately?

Thanks,

Lindau-Reutin is the border point. If Rail Planner asks for an inbound/outbound day with that stop, add Lindau-Reutin (Austria) manually. It is a workaround.

For Lindau-Reutin - Munich: either buy an expensive Flexpreis to stay on the EC or use regional trains instead (D-Ticket, Regio-Ticket Allgäu-Schwaben, Bayern-Ticket or other ticket).

It shows the stop as Lindau-Reutin ( Germany ) , how to add a stop manually.

as I use the trip option and search for station

Does the app ask to activate an inbound/outbound day when you add a journey to Lindau-Reutin? If not, then there's no need to add the train manually. If it does, then scroll down in the planner's search results and tap on "Add it manually”.

Do you want to use an inbound journey? If not, you must add the station in Austria manually.

You need to add a manual journey as shown below:

Yes. Or you switch to cheaper regional trains
