Question to inbound to home country.
We are leaving Stockholm Friday 5th afternoon with a nightrain to Hamburg -arriving early on 6th of August in Hamburg, our final destinitation is Cologne. Here for we do need to take another train (ICE/IC) . Now Rail planner is keep telling me that the trip from Hamburg to Colgne is not possible, as no more inbound days are left. Is this correct?

Du hast es nicht erwähnt, aber ich gehe aufgrund des Geschriebenen mal davon aus, dass ihr (nur) noch einen Fahrttag in Deutschland habt und den direkten Snälltåget benutzt.
Du hast auch nicht dazugeschrieben, welchen Pass ihr benutzt. Mit einem Papierpass ist es kein Problem, da könnt ihr einfach fahren und die Warnung der App ignorieren. Mit einem Mobile Pass geht das nicht, da ihr dann hinter Hamburg kein gültiges Ticket mehr hättet.
In dem Fall müsst ihr den Nachtzug in zwei Teilen mit einer sinnvollen fiktiven Zeit manuell eintragen, so dass ersichtlich ist, dass die Grenze erst nach Mitternacht überquert wird, was ja auch der Fall ist (du siehst den Grenztarifpunkt, wenn du dir die Zugdetails anzeigen lässt). Das Problem sind hier die fehlende Halte des Snälltåget in der Nacht, so dass die App das verarbeiten könnte.
Yes-this is in theory right-and it is indeed needed to use next passday (IF you have such a thing-you did not clearly tell, nor that you are DE). Ever heard of this magical 9€ ticket as ALT?
You canNOT use any trip that is beyond final day of pass-23.59=the ´ride out rule´ does not apply then.
IF you have a passdays-pass: set different-to Padborg (Last stop in DK) starting from SE and then again from there to Heim=use only 1 travelday inside DE. 2 passdays-as told-you have to use anyway for this. And ALL direct trains DK-DE MUST be REServed in summer-and are heavily overcrowded, as all Swedes now believe in a Gretha who has told them to not fly.
