Hi,

I don’t udnerstand Inboud/Outbound days.

I’ve bought a 15 days global pass and i’m doing this trip (which France is my country of residence) :

  • day 1 : Paris → Milan
  • spend some days in italy visiting
  • day 10 : Milan → Paris
  • spend some days in France visiting till the end of the pass

If i understand correctly i can’t spend some days in France with the inbound.outbound rule.. right ?

By the way, i’ve bought my tickets on RailEurope, is anything to do to activate my ticket ?

On maximum 2 of your pass days you may travel in your country of residence. Your plan won't work.

(Until 2017 you couldn't use the pass at all in your own country.)

You mean reservations through Rail Europe? Onboard you show both the Rail Planner app with the correct journey logged (your ticket) and the Rail Europe PDF reservation.

Hi, thanks for the answer.

Just to be sure, the Paris → Milan count necesseraly as 1 inbound/outbound day ?

thanks for the raileurope tips, it’s clear now !

Yes as soon as you log a train in your own country. The app will tell you so.

Note the landslide in Savoie and the engineering works on the Simplon route. Plan accordingly.
