Eurail website says Interlaken to Zermatt train is covered, and suggests to choose Eurail Pass under “reduction”. However, the reduction dropdown doesn't show the option Eurail pass. Am i doing it wrong? Does Eurail global work at all for this route?

The Eurail pass is your ticket from Interlaken to Zermatt. You don't need to buy anything more. You just log the train that you will take as journeys in the Railplanner app and then activate the journey just before boarding the train.

Seat reservation are totally unnecessary in Switzerland as long as you avoid the Glacierexpress and the panoramic coaches in the Berninaexpress. On the routes of both the Glacierexpress and the Berninaexpress there are reservation free regional trains which are less crowded and which give better opportunities to make good photos.
