Interrail Global Pass Promo Youth - Cannot activate mobile pass ''soomething went wrong''


Hello people,

Any help or suggestions welcomed. 

I brought a promo global pass and am unable to add my mobile pass to the rail planner app.

When I do try add the pass it says ‘Something went wrong’. 

Ive tried and couldnt previously activate my pass  and the validation period is for 1 month and it runs out today. Slightly worried as I am supposed to be travelling from Paris to Amsterdam on Saturday and need to reserve seats! I also don’t want to lose my money!

Not a solution to your problem, but you don't need to activate your pass to make the reservation.

You can book by phone at SNCF. No need of Pass Cover Number.

 Press #85 for English, no booking fees, reservations are sent via e-mail

Hello, the “Something went wrong” message could indicate a few things: 

  • The pass is already activated on another device. In that case please reach out to our customer service team so that we can disconnect it on your behalf. 
  • Your WiFi connection is not strong/stable enough
  • Your device's settings are interfering with the app  -  please double check that your phone uses the Gregorian calendar, time zone is set to “automatic” and the 24-hour time display is switched off.
