Hi.

I’m a U.K. citizen looking to buy one of your continuous interrail passes that are currently discounted to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

I read somewhere that these passes are only available to EU residents. Is this true? Am I eligible as a British citizen or do I need to purchase a Eurail pass?

Thanks,

Liam

You are lucky to be able to purchase one ;-)

Hi Martin,

can I buy an interrail pass then or do I need a eurail?

Interrail has nothing to do with the EU. The UK is a part of Europe so you are ok to buy an Interrail pass.

The EU every year doles out a few 100 of these passes for free to youngsters who become 18 or 19-as a kind of gift to celebrate and have them experience the joys of a united EU. THIS is where of course Brits have no access to anymore and may have caused your confusion.
