Hi, apologies if this question has been asked before.  I am planning to travel from Manchester-London-Paris-Barcelona-Alicante-Madrid-Santander.

From Santander I have been offered a space on the ferry back to Portsmouth.

Is it OK to book this rail journey without using a return rail leg in the UK?

There is no need to use a return rail leg into the UK.

Hi Anna, thanks for the prompt response.  I’m a newbie here so wasn’t sure of the requirements.

And IF you have days over on pass, you can even use last (2nd day in home) for port to home on what once was British Rail. Might be much cheaper if you do not live close by that port.
