Is the Bergen ‘fully included’ in interrail pass or do you have to reserve?

The eurail site info page about the Bergen railway says both that the Bergen line is ‘fully included in your interrail pass’ and then that ‘reservations are mandatory’, which is it?

Your travel is included with your pass. The operator has introduced compulsory seat reservations which you have to pay for. Entur can reserve places for you. They email them

Ok, thanks. In which case that listing is now wrong and needs updating, Eurail

Interrail and Eurail global passes cover free travel on trains as detailed. However many operators require mandatory reservations on express and cross border trains.

These are not included in your pass and need to be sourced separately.

Most  but not all, routes have alternative regional trains that do not require reservations.

Thanks for the generic misplaced reply, the question has already been answered definitively @Yorkie, the eurail page is incorrect. No one is disputing the existence of seat reservations. Also ‘as detailed’ requires a citation/link as you haven’t detailed anything.

I must say you are very rude!

This is a community site where experts on rail travel in Europe try to help travellers. We do not work for Interrail or Eurail. We are happy to help but we certainly take offence at your generic misplaced reply
