Last name too long

Hello, I’m trying to purchase the Greek Islands Interrail Pass. The thing is that I have a composed last name and it is too long (18 characters) and I can only write 17. I’ve been reading that the important thing is the last name so, what can I do?

DK this pass-but MAIN thing is always the nr of ID/passpt.

With such a long name I highly doubt inspectors (and on ferries there are no other ticket checks as just before boarding) will even note the difference. Special anti-fraud inspectors one only encounters here and there-very rarely- on some state run burocratic railways.

But Greeks as such should be used to quite long names ending on ---opoulos.

Delete the last letter? There's not much choice.

I thought about doing that, but the thing is, will it be ok for the ticket inspector? I mean, the ID Code will be fine, but if the last name doesn’t match exactly I’m not sure if there would be any problem
