I am thinking about using my digital Eurailpass for the Leonardo Express. I have read that many people get fined if their ticket has not been validated. Will I have problems if I board the Leonardo Express with a digital ticket?

Just not you need 1st class railpass the train is 1st class only :) And travelers with normal tickets had to place their tickets first in a stamp box on the platform :)
With a 1st class railplass you can just board the Leonardo Express :)

This prob of fines for NOT date-stamping NORMAL paper tickets applies to about anywhere in ITaly-and also often for most local transit in FRance and DE=germany. It hits the british most often, as they are convinced that they have to do nothing else as buying.
