I would be visiting Switzerland in 2 weeks (first time) for a total of 4 full days (& 5 nights). We are a family of 4 (2 Adults & 2 kids of 6 & 9).
I have a Eurail Global Pass, which I want to utilize to the fullest during my stay. While Switzerland is so beautiful, with so many places to visit, I have become very confused as to how to plan my literary there.
I want to use Glacier, Bernina & Glacier Expresses as well as utilize other regional trains & ‘included boats’ to visit as many places as possible.
Now as already stated, I am so confused that I am not able to make a plan as what to do each day. With a blank slate & no plan, I would really appreciate if you can give your suggestions from experience as to how to plan my 4 days, wrt above mentioned aspects.
I am more interested in utilizing the 100% included transport means, while I will make plans for the paid stuff (like cable cars etc) separately/afterward.
My place of Residence is in Geneva. I know I am located very far & would spend a lot of time on the train. But I won’t mind traveling a lot, as now the Hotel cannot be changed & have to make a good plan based on the existing situation. So please don’t limit your suggestions due to this factor.
Thanks
