My name is Francesca, I’m 17 years old (18 in February), I’m from Venice but I’m currently spending an exchange year in Bergen, Norway. In 2023 (at the age of 15), I embarked on my first Interrail trip together with a friend of mine: a 10-day itinerary through Spain. Starting from Venice, we took a flight to Barcelona, where we spent four days visiting the most iconic attractions such as the Sagrada Familia, the beach, and the aquarium. Then we headed to Madrid, where we spent three days exploring various museums. We made a day trip to Seville (where I had already been before), and we concluded our journey in Valencia, where we visited the famous aquarium and took part in various local festivals.
It was the first time we traveled together, and it was by far one of my favorite trips ever! We had the opportunity to explore a new country rich in culture, meet new people, and strengthen our bond, which led us to take many more trips together.
Two years later, I can't wait to go on such an experience again, because I love traveling, I love discovering new places and cultures, and having my heart stolen by new cities. But I also love revisiting cities I'm most attached to and reminiscing about the previous times I was there.
If I had to choose one person to go on this journey with, I would definitely choose my boyfriend, because not only is he the person I have the most fun with and love sharing both small and big moments with, but he has also never traveled abroad. For me, it would be a huge milestone to help him discover new countries and cultures.
