we are a group of five 18 years old travellers and it is impossible to us to reserve a night train between budapest and ljubliana with a month in advanced. the problem is that reservation is requeried and when it comes to pay the eurail web don’t let us add it to chart

It might work on the MAV website (Hungarian railways). Generally best to avoid eurail.com as it's full of bugs, they add fees, are missing trains and so on.
