Hi!

We will go from Vienna to Milano per night train, but we have to change trains before midnight in Salzburg. Does this still count as 1 travel day?

Next we want to travel further to Bergamo on the evening of the same day we arrived in Milano.

Does this still count as 1st travel day then (it will be within 24 hours of the start of the journey)?

Thanks for helping me:-)

Every day (00.00-23.59) that you board a train is a travel day. You can remain on a night train after midnight without using a new travel day. When you board a new train on the arrival day of the night train, that will be a new travel day.

Btw Vienna - Milan should be direct. There might be a slightly faster option by changing in Salzburg but you really want the direct train for a stress-free experience.

If you can't find it, mention travel date.

Indeed as others said, use a new pass day for Milan - Bergamo or simply buy a cheap regional ticket once there (what I would do).
