Hi

i have a eurail pass. I have booked a seat reservation from paris nord to brussels midi station.

i booked it from eurail planner app and it took me to Eurail website for seat reservation.

in my app under my trip i saved the train and it shows train number - EUR 9315 but in my ticket that i got in my email the train number is EUR 9415

also when i am trying to find this train on my planner app is it not showing up there.

its my first time using this app have i done any mistake?

What is the date and time you are travelling?

14 feb morning 8:25 am

I think 9315 and 9415 operate as two units, paired together. You can verify this on the Eurostar website (it shows two trains departing and arriving at the same time).

Your reservation and coach number will be in 9415.

You can add the train manually to your Trip Planner if you want it to show the correct train number, but I suspect it doesn’t matter if your pass says 9315.

Thank you so much for replying me 🙏🏻

Also in few trains i saw seat reservation optional so i can still get the seat if i don’t do any reservation?

Yes, you can still get on that train. A reservation is only €3 though on tickets.oebb.at.

Since the seating carriages are pretty awful for overnight travel (no recline, lights on, announcements, people getting on/off at all times, sometimes standing, pickpockets) I'd recommend a couchette for a better experience.

Looks like the carriages to Zurich are sold out but you could book to Basel (39.90€, early-ish arrival) and switch to the Zurich seating carriages. It wouldn't require an extra travel day.

When i checked it on eurorail planner app it showed 8€

And what is this 1st class under extras?

That's the price if you book through Eurail (not recommended). In addition, you should not rely on any information from the Rail planner app. Prices may be incorrect and timetables may be outdated.

There also 1st class on this train. You need a first class pass (or ticket) to sit there.

yes i booked the couchette till Basel. my ticket says i need to transfer to intercity 559 train to zurich.

can i just remain in my nightjet train and move to seating coach?

The pass is your ticket. You booked a reservation Amsterdam-Basel and your screenshot is a timetable, not a ticket.

You're seeing a timetable to Zurich because you requested a pass reservation to Zurich and then selected a journey with a change in Basel, instead of just requesting a pass reservation Amsterdam-Basel. I just checked and you should not have a reservation for Basel-Zurich. (Reservations for Swiss trains cannot be booked this way - but you don't need one.)

Yes you can.

i booked from amsterdam to zurich only but on my ticket it was mentioned reservation valid from amsterdam to basel sbb. i thought i will be in same train until zurich but just my reservation is up-till basel.

when i checked the journey details it asked me to transfer to another train for basel to zurich

Planners usually give the quickest option, so you reserved the quickest option instead of the direct one. Night trains have a lot of buffer time.

As said before: no problem to stay on the train. Nobody will take your couchette place for the short stretch Basel-Zürich.

When in doubt, ask train staff, but they’ll say the same as us here. Absolutely no need to worry about it. All set for a your journey.

OP likely has a reservation in a carriage terminating in Basel. Half the carriages are detached there so they'd need to move to a seating carriage bound for Zurich.

Still not an issue: log Amsterdam - Zurich direct (08:05 arrival).

Or you can change in Basel anyway to any IR/IC. Since you're using a travel day to get to Venice, it doesn't matter much.

Once you get close to Basel, follow what the SBB app says and keep an eye on the delay.
