I’ve I buy interrail passes for 2 adults, do the 2 adults need to travel together at all times or do they get separate passes and can enter separate journeys etc?

You don't have to travel together as long as you either have the mobile pass on your own device or have paper passes. The only time when it doesn't work to travel apart is if one person has both mobile passes on the same device.

So the prob to be expected-for some- is that wehn making REServ. it will be quite a challenge to get seats sidebyside. Unless travel for you may even mean that meeting others might also be nice.

Booking reservations together has nothing to do with to which devices mobile passes are linked. The process remains to same.
