QR code reading error in Berlin S-Bahn

I'm Eurail Pass holder.

I boarded the Berlin S-Bahn yesterday and I showed a mobile QR, but the reading was not successful and I got a penalty paper.

I just emailed a protest, Is there anything else I can do?

Just curious, did they page down on your screen to look at the readable information? That's the same information as in the QR code.

This would be very interesting to know. Because, when the QR Code doesn’t work, than the conductor has to read the information on the app, but unfortunately not all conductors know this.

Maybe they wasn't conductors but only ticket checking people that doesn’t know all the rules and fares. 

 

P.S. Write also to the costumer service of Eurail!

Who did you email?

Do keep all paperwork. Any extra costs can be claimed via customer service.
