Hi,

I bought erasmus pass for 4 travel days in the next 6 months.

I already booked the trip for this Sunday, but would like to refund it now. When I refund it, do I get the travel day back, or I lose that travel day?

Thank you for the answer. I booked the reservation for the next Sunday. I would like to cancel it, and they said that I can get the refund. When I cancel the reservation, do I get back the booked day, so do I again have 4 remaining days on disposal, or just 3?

You will get your day back, but it’s not automatic. If you’ve already activated a travel day, then you must delete the journey and cancel the activation, before midnight on Saturday.

You can't get back a travel day when validity has already started. Validity for today started at midnight.

I'm not sure what you mean by "booked the trip” but if you mean you booked a reservation, then refund possibilities depends on the exact train (route, date, departure time) and where you booked it. Some reservations are not refundable, some are but this usually has to be done before departure time. If you booked your reservation via Interrail, then see this page.

If you want to cancel your journey because the expected delay at your destination was at least oe hour, then contact customer service for your travel day. And contact the place where you booked your reservation for a full refund.

Pass and reservations are not connected and live in separate universes. You can book reservations without an active pass or travel day.

It's not recommended to activate a pass or a travel day in advance. It sounds like you did both. It's best only to activate on the day you travel. You never know what will happen. If you reschedule and forget to cancel, then you can loose travel days. The same thing if you wake up ill on the planned start date and decide you want to postpone: you then can't cancel anymore because the validity period will have started.

Thanks! I changed the activation day for this Thursday, but I am not able to reserve the seats for this day because it says: your pass isn’t valid on this day. How is this possible? Seems like it did not reset from the previous activation, which was next Sunday. What should I do, I want to book Eurostar on Thursday.

You forgot to mention route and departure time.

You can check and book on raileurope.com. If that doesn't work then please provide more details.

Also it's best never to activate in advance.
