Good morning,

Welcome to the community and thanks for sharing your feedback.

We very much understand that for some of our users Facebook may be more convenient, but our decision to move to a dedicated platform (inclusive to Facebook and non- Facebook users) has been approached thoughtfully and carefully, after conducting research among the members of the group. There was a need for easier navigation, better organisation of topics, the ability to validate answers, inclusion of relevant content from Eurail itself, among other things. Moreover, the fact that topics can be found via google, even years after the topic was posted, makes that all topics can be of value for millions of travellers for an unlimited time. As at Eurail we also see the added value, we have created this one place for both Eurail and Interrail travellers to exchange inspiration and have validated answers to questions.

While it won’t be perfect or the right move for everyone, and we certainly don't expect everyone to follow us over to the new community platform, it has proven to be a valuable environment for many. While the platform just went live two months ago, as opposed to the Facebook groups being live since 2018, we are not at the same level of members right away but we are growing everyday.

For translation, most browsers have an automatic translator option in the url bar, which translates to your native language or any other language you want. It works the same as the Facebook translator but it is a matter of getting used to it as it is now displayed in the url bar instead off under each post.

Regarding our website, we are open to receive your feedback, so do share what you think should be improved/ changed.

I trust this clarifies it.

Have a good day :relaxed:

There is still a Facebook group (though not "official”) and it's still active:
