I have a Global Pass 1st class. I’ll be travelling next March and April from Brussels to Berlin, from Berlin to Vienna, from Vienna to Ljubljana, from Ljubljana to Venise. Réservations are not required, not compulsory, but I’d like to know if it would be  better to reserve to make sure I have a seated place. Thank you.

That depends entirely on your travel dates and times, which you didn't give. Fridays and Sundays are often busy. April includes the Easter weekend, which will be very busy. But on a normal Wednesday morning, it will not be so busy.

For trains in Germany, you can see a prediction of occupancy on bahn.de or in the DB Navigator app. For trains in Austria, you'll see that on tickets.oebb.at.

Reservations are quite cheap: €3 on tickets.oebb.at.
