Seat reservations (or lack there of) with my pass

I have already purchased my Eurail pass and have started to look through the time tables.

I made one purchase to reserve a seat, but now I’ve come across “open seating; choose any available seating”. There is no button to click to reserve a spot on that train? Do I just show up to the station and hope that there is space for me on this train?

Am I missing something as I click through the website?

Also, if there is no further action needed at that point in the process, how do I add the specific train/time to my planner?

You just have to add the train journeys to yor trip an activate them (the activating is best done on the day of travel). This has to be done for all trains that you take with your Pass (its the same for trains with mandatory or optional reservations)

Yes, Open seating means there are no reservations. You just take a free seat. (or you stand if there are no free seats)
