Hi if I buy a three month global pass can I use it for a couple of separate trips during the 3 months?

Yes. BUT it remains that ONLy in homecountry only on 2 days can use-for more trips have to pay for the other journeys-and €* is not cheap. Bur you can also fly or use bus to cut cost.
I´ve done that with a 2-month pass last autumn for some 8 different trips-but I hold an off-peak and rather cheap season for my howe-country railway.
