We are travelling together but want the hold the trip on both our phones. The faq only addresses having multiple passes on one phone.

Each pass needs its own Trip, but you can start by creating one Trip and then just before you start the travel you copy the Trip to all travelers.

Select the trip in the railplanner app and in the top right (the 3point) you can select share trip. This will create a link which can be opened with the app to import the trip.
