My son is planning to purchase both of our flexi rail passes and make journey bookings, all on his device. How will I gain entry to trains, and what can I show inspectors?

Your son can have both passes on his phone, and all the reservations. But this means that you must always travel together.
If you will want to travel by yourself at any point - even if it’s just a local S-Bahn back to your hotel - it’s better to have your pass on your phone.
If your son has all passes on his phone, then he will have to show all of them during inspection.
