I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue. I purchased a Ticket/Reservation for a double sleeper unit with a shower and WC on the Nightjet NJ461 Amsterdam to Munich on 12/09/2025. It came to my attention that OBB is charging the same amount for reservations/tickets whether or not you use your EURAIL passes for the Ticket portion of the travel that is supposed to be giving a discount for the travel portion. In 2 instances the same price was to be charged whether I provided information that I had a Eurail pass or not. Both ticket prices are the same for 2 different dates of service, Two of these reservations show that I was getting a EURAIL discount, however there was no actual discount given. One set of these reservations I did in incognito mode just in case the OBB app was detecting my computer IP address but shows the same result €679,80 and in the other case €739,80. I contacted OBB to find out how this could be happening but given it’s a weekend I haven’t heard back from them but I am asking if anyone knows a logical explanation for this? Thank you

In addition, could you please check with ÖBB how it's possible that their customer service repeatedly claim that there's no pass fare for (certain?) sleeper categories, whereas their website states the opposite?
In any case, I agree that this seems to be either a deceptive practice or a technical problem when calculating the pass fares.
Some other remarks:
- The Nightjet Amsterdam-Augsburg on 12/9 does not show a pass price for an individual couchette, although there are berths available:
- The Double pass fares are higher than the maximum fare mentioned in the recently updated price list on the Interrail/Eurail website:
If the maximum prices are correct, then it's clear there's a problem on ÖBB's booking website.
Also note that the pass discount is just €5 for Double and €0 for Double Plus, which looks very wrong:
Only for the Single category, the pass fare is €65 lower than the regular fare. When I select 2 passengers, there is no price difference for Double, but there still is the expected €130 difference for Single.
I’m trying to book a night train today, and it’s not providing any discount. Please see the details in the screenshots below. The price is significantly higher than the maximum on the price list.
When I returned home in early October I filed a complaint with the Federal Ministry, Mobility and Infrastructure Republic of Austria regarding the issue that OBB is not giving a discount for the sleeper coach when using the Eurail pass. I received an offer through arbitration for 180€ as a travel voucher. I told the arbitrator that as far as I am concerned OBB is acknowledging that they were at fault and that I would accept under the condition OBB must be more transparent with explaining when discounts are or are not being given for sleeper coaches or any other reservation travel.
