trains from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and above

I am aware that as recently as 2 months ago, the Eurail pass did not work for trains from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and above.

Has there been any RECENT CHANGE to this policy so that the Eurail pass can be used for these trains ?

Have a look at : https://www.seat61.com/reference/2024-interrail-eurail-coverage-switzerland.pdf

Since 10th December are now fully included :

- Interlaken Ost - Grindelwald/Lauterbrunnen

- cable car Lauterbrunnen - Grütschalp + little train Grütschalp - Mürren

- Lauterbrunnen - Wengen

Schilthorn, Jungfraujoch, etc. keep their 25% discount.

Thanks for the update.

Please excuse this additional question if you have already answered it - I am not familiar with some of the terminology:  I did check the seat61 link but unsure how to decipher !

What about the Lauterbrunnen-Murren aerial cableway and train?

Valid on the Lauterbrunnen - Grütschalp - Mürren route as written above. :)

(Not on the bus to Stechelberg + cable car Stechelberg - Gimmelwald - Mürren though)

@thibcabe @Zak

Sorry to jump onto this thread, I checked on raileurope website and I saw the following: Seat reservation has to be done at station.

Is this an error? If not, is the seat reservation free on the BLM? How can I make the seat reservation?

That's incorrect. There are no seat reservations.

In Switzerland, please use sbb.ch or the SBB app for timetable information.
