Hi, can I travel in both directions (eg. Berlin → Frankfurt and Frankfurt → Berlin) on one travel day or can I go only in one direction?
Do I have to have trip completely planned in order to add it to my mobile pass in the app or can I add journeys after activating my pass?

On a travel day, you can travel as much as you like in any direction you like. A return trip is not a problem.
To be able to activate the pass, you need to create a trip but this trip can still be empty.
You can plan in advance but you don't have to. The only requirement is that you add the train you will use to your trip and then to your pass before you board it.
