Using electronic pass

This will probably sound like a stupid question but the instructions are not clear to me.

I have an electronic pass. I have set up a trip which will start in the middle of August. I have all the reservations for the journeys that require them, all but one I got from the train lines.

The website and app make it seem like I need to add, somehow, all the journeys that I will be taking.   I have a list that I have made with all the details-date, times, train, etc.  For those journeys that don’t require a reservation do I just show the pass on my phone when I board?

Thanks

You need to enter all trains you take in your trip, and before you board a train, you need to add it to your pass. You need to do that regardless of whether you have a reservation. There's no need to add them a long time in advance. The only requirement is that you do it before you board.

You can delete a train from your trip by holding it. Then a menu will be shown with a delete option.

Ok I found it on the app. I was trying to do it on the website from a laptop.

But!  Previously I entered the wrong date on a journey and I can’t find a way to change or edit it.

That doesn't work. I press an hold and it says only “View details” . Details just shows more about the journey. See attached screenshot.

The others have “delete”. I'm guessing this on doesn't because the date that I entered or didn't change from the day I did it back in April has passed.  I'm going to ignore it and enter the correct one.

I did see on the rural website that you “can hop on and off” as you please.

Frankly this is all a pain.  The last pass I had was in 1990 and we did just show up and get on a train.  I guess things are different now.

You can't delete journeys/trains from the past. You can only do the for the current date or the future.

That's what you can still do. There's no need to enter your trains in advance. The only requirement is that you do that before you board, just like with the paper pass.

I wanted enter the journeys to get it out of the way.  The problem now is 5 are entered correctly but the first one with the already past date is still there.  I think I will ignore it and reenter that journey with the correct date.

Thanks for your helpl

What I did when I had the same problem was to create a new Trip. I then went into the first Trip and made a new search on all Journeys that I wanted to have in the new Trip. When you make a new search, you can then save the Journey to the new Trip.
