Using Global pass for intracity travels

Dear,

I would appreciate any help here. We will have a Eurail global pass. The info I am after is will I need separate ticket to travel within Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and Frankfurt. If yes, is there a daily pass (or family pass) for 1-2 days that I can use.

Much appreciated.

The pass is valid on the S-Bahn in Germany, and regional trains in Brussels which link the three main stations in the city, but it’s not valid on the vast majority of city transport. You’ll need to buy tickets locally.

Whether you buy single tickets or day tickets depends on how much travel you’ll do.

in Paris, you can buy a Navigo card, or download the app.

In Brussels and Amsterdam you can pay with contactless.

In Frankfurt, buy tickets locally from machines or the DB app.

The pass covers trains and not all other public transport services (so buses, trams, metros are not included, with rare exceptions)
