Hello:) I would like to download the mobile pass to several smartphones. The FAQ was quite unspecific on whether that is possible. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of smartphones you can connect THE SAME mobile pass to?

The mobile pass is only usable on ONE phone. It is not possible to activate it on other devices.
