My one month global pass is valid for 11 months. Is that the start of the journey or the end? As an example: my pass was purchased on the first of May this year. Can I use it next year in April? If the first travel day is the last day of March?

If you purchased the pass on the 1st of May 2022 you need to activate the pass at the latest on the 1st of April 2023. So you can travel during April 2023.
