Validity Global Youth Pass

In January of this year I bought a Global pass 2nd class Youth (with discount). The validity of this pass has been extended with an additional year to 31 August of 2022. However, in February next year I turn 28.

Is my pass still valid after my birthday, seeing this pass is for 27 years old or younger? Does the order date count as indication or your actual age on the date of travel. If so, is there a possibility to change the pass to the adult version if I can’t travel before then?

Hi Dennis,

The official rule is that to use a Youth Pass you must be 27 or younger on its first day of validity. If you plan to start travelling after your birdthday, I am afraid you will need to exchange your Pass with an Adult one. Here you find the policy and the instructions: https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/ordering-info/refund-exchange-policy. If you need help in the process, get in touch with customer service!
