Ich will auch endlich meinen Traum erfüllen und Europa mithilfe des Interrail Global Pass entdecken.
Ich möchte mit der Option 7 Tage in einem Monat reisen, frage mich aber, ob man über zwei Monate hinweg reisen kann (z.B Ende August - Anfang September), so dass die 7 Tage innerhalb von 30/31 Tagen gelten oder ob man in einem festen Monat reisen muss (z.B nur September oder nur August).
Ich würde mich über eine Antwort freuen :)

Er gilt 30-31 Tage Du wählst ein Startdatum zb. den 23.August dann gilt der Pass bis zum 22. September. Innerhalb des zeitraumes musst du deine 7Tage nutzen. Jenachdem wo du durch Europa reisen willst musst du noch mit Kosten für Zugreservierungen rechnen. In einigen Ländern gibt es sehr günstige Fahrkarten das der Interrailpass hier seinen Preisvorteil nicht ausspielen kann.

Our 4-days Flexipass with "one month" validity did not allow to activite the 4th day on 1st August 2026 on the interrail app. Despite the fact, that the 1st day we used was 2nd July! This is against the interrail own explanations on various webpages( and the explanation of seewulf). And makes the experience with the app a very bad one.

The question is which date you started the validity period?
You might have started the validity of the pass before the first travel day.
Hi Railmaster, the fourth day appeared to “be still available, a small message on top in the app was just ‘your pass has expired’. The trip from Besancon to Basel was with a SNCF TER train. The validity period appears in an other app page to be 1/7 to 31/7. - Therefore my question: why a validity period does not start by default with the first day used, i.e. 2/7? - Short: system and app appear not to be at the level of a usefull costumer information. This means you chose 1/7 as the start date when you activated the pass.

It must be possible to let the validity period start without using a travel day, e.g. to use a pass discount, because then you don't need to use a travel day.
If you want to avoid the risk of choosing the wrong start date, then you should not activate in advance. There is no need to do that.

Maybe the error messages could be clearer, but if your pass has expired, then you can't expect to be able use it. The activation procedure however forces you to choose a start date explicitly and explains whether you can change it and until when. If you have ideas how to improve the activation procedure, then do propose something concrete, I'm curious.
