When do I state passport number?

Hi!

I am ordering interrail passes. I have filled in everything and i am now at Payment.
But I have not been asked to fill in passport numbers. Is that done after payment is done?

If you're buying a mobile pass, you only enter a passport number when you activate your pass in the app, normally on the day you start your trip.

    I think its only done once you add it to the App to activate it (for mobile Pass atleast).

    I speak german 🇩🇪, english 🇬🇧, and i understand a bit of french
