We will visit Germany for 6 days.

Day1

Frankfurt Airport → Kologne

Day2

Kologne→ Duesseldolf

Day3

Kologne→ Bremen

Day4

Bremen →Laipzig

Day5

Laipzig→Dresden

Day6

Dresden→Furankfurt Airport

which type of German Rail Pass is the best, 3 days or 5 day?

we would try to buy 5 Days tickets. But the site suggested us 3Days Pass.

Is that collect? it it the first time to buy German Rail Pass.

Please tell me which tickets to buy.

What's best depends on whether you want to stay flexible. If you can commit to a specific train, then you can also buy advance tickets on bahn.com or first compare with pass prices.

You should be aware that there's a German Rail Pass Twin, which is cheaper than 2 separate passes. The Twin passes are however only available from the ticket office, including at Frankfurt Airport. Here's an overview of the prices:

For Cologne to Düsseldorf I'd just buy regular tickets for a regional train. It's a short distance and there are many trains.

if you travel during one calendar month you might also consider a combination of a 3 days pass with a Deutschlandticket:

first you get public transport within the city, secondly, Köln → Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf → Bremen, Leipzig → Dresden are also feasible by regional trains as the journey doesnt take too much longer.

thanks to your advice,

we checked the price carefully again.

and we bought “3days-flexible-pass”.

Actually we have no doubt to get 5days pass.

we could save money.

thank you very much, both of you.
