Hi there, our paper Global Pass has not arrived, it got to the Dutch border on the 22nd November but then the trail went cold. I dont know what the UK tracking number is, it was due to arrive in early December, and we travel tomorrow evening.Is there any way to contact an actual person in Eurail to try to find out where it has got to? We have pre-bought lots of (often rare) tickets to get up to Northern Sweden, using the pass number we were given in the confirmation/order emails.Can anyone tell us whether if we buy a mobile pass, and then cancel the paper one, we can use the existing paper tickets (bought direct via Eurostar and swedish railways as the Eurail website seemed to fall over lots of time), with the pass ‘number’ listed on the mobile pass? Does the Mobile pass even have a pass number? The paper tickets have ‘only valid with a railcard’ printed on them, but it doesn’t quote a particular pass number. Hello, I am an international student with a Dutch residence permit and a non-EU Pasport. I am thinking of buying a 3-months Global Pass. My questions are: 1. Can I buy the Eurail Pass (not Interrail) with my non-EU Pasport even if I have an EU residence permit? Or am I obligated to buy the Interrail Pass?2. I see that the Interrail pass has the Inbound/Outbound Journey Rule. Does this mean that I can only use the Interrail Pass for 2 days only in my residence country (but in those 2 days I am free to travel as much as I want in my residence country)? If this is true, after my 2 days are gone, does it mean I need to buy a ticket to neighboring-country's border and only then can use my interrail pass again?3. Can I use the Interrail if I travel outside Netherlands and then go back to Netherlands again (since I am a student and have classes) and, after a few days, travel abroad again or is this violated the Inbound/Outbound Rule since I will me using many days of travel in and out of the
I live in Northern Ireland. Given that the whole island of Ireland is regarded as a single entity for Interrail purposes does this mean that a Global pass which I buy would be valid for unlimited travel in Great Britain? Similarly, am I able to buy a Great Britain single country pass (as would be the case if I lived in the Republic of Ireland)?
Goodevening to everyone,I’ve decided to open a new thread after reading several other ones.I’m going to have a little trip starting from Italy and going to Istanbul and return this Summer.The problem is, finding reservation for nightrains from Budapest to Bucarest is impossible via Eurail website/app: sometimes they’re not available, sometimes they are but they are paper ones and it takes too long to be delivered.A similar thing happens when I have to book seats for Bucarest-Istanbul night train: no seats available, or I have to make reservations but there isn’t any prompt to proceed to do so.I’ve read that is almost always better to make reservations not using Eurail app.My questions are:Why is the app not functioning? Are the seats likely sold out or is an internal issue? For a future journey: should I book seats MUCH more in advance? I can reserve tickets online using railways websites, I know, but are they more expensive than the ones I could (not in this case, obviously) res

About 2 weeks ago I found out about the complementary caregiver pass and submitted a support request (Id #212586) but I haven't got a reply yet.How do I get the caregiver pass?I am eligible for a caregiver (“begleitperson”) in Germany but I don't know if this makes me eligible for a complementary interrail caregiver pass.Best regards
I activated my pass already but I want to refund it because it has been too much of a pain to try to get seat reservations everywhere I want to go. It takes me hours to book any seat reservation. I am okay with getting the 85% partial refund. My pass says I have used 1/15 travel days, though I haven’t taken a single train in Europe so far so I don’t know why it says that. How do I get a refund?
Friends, I purchased a 1st class pass. When I go to book a reservation because it’s required, I’m only allowed to purchase a 2nd class reservation. Two questions: Does that mean 1st class is sold out? If so, then how do I request a refund for my pass since I can’t really use 1st class if it’s not available?Many, many thanks!
Hi, I have an Interrail mobile pass for 7 days within one month. The last activation date is 31 August 2022 but I am not able to start my first journey until 20 September 2022. I then plan to complete all 7 days of travel by 30 September 2022. Is this permitted? Or do I have to take my first journey on the date that I activate the pass (ie travel on 31 August 2022?).Any advice gratefully received.
Hi, I made a seat reservation on May 31th Order ID R2022188767. I paid 52 US dollars with the post delivered included, but today the paper reservations hasn´t arrived yet. They send the paper reservation via PostNL but the tracking guide doesn´t updated since 10th of June. I tried to contact support two times but Eurail always answer “We will try to get back to you within 2 days” and never answer with a solution.My travel is in 20 days and i need to have the reservation. I have spent all morning trying to book a reservation for us in August, using our Global Interrail Pass, for a Blue Star Ferry crossing from Piraeus to Syros.The Pass gives you a 30% reduction and this is indicated on the booking form, with the reduced ticked price. There is a box where you have to fill in your discount details and I give the pass numbers of our activated Global Pass. However, when I get to the point when I want the payment to go through, a box flashes up saying that “The document number is not valid”.I tried this several times, then called the Greek number at the bottom of the page. The very helpful, English-speaking person who answered tried to book this passage for me, but lo and behold, the Global Pass number was indeed not valid. It needed to be a different number from the Rail company, ie Interrail. Nothing on their site, but a useful post on this forum which gave a link to activate a Pass Cover number which could be used for making reservations, starting with I
Trying to get a train from Paris to Spiez, Switzerland on July 21st for 2 people. I have a 3 month eurail pass. Are they serious about these prices?! $374 total?! Also, when I try booking the site messes up every time and take me back to the homepage and never lets me complete purchase. Help!
Hi, I want to take a trip to Austria form the end of December to the start of January. So, I was thinking of taking the interrail 7-day global pass. From the terms and conditions, it is noted that the Interrail Global Pass is valid in your country of residence for one outward journey and one return journey which you can make at any time during your travel days. I have a 6 day Pass for Greek islands, Attica Group.When I go on the site for booking, even if I put my CPN number, I can’t have a reservation without having an amount due.Why ?Is it because my Pass begins on19th of August (date of my departure to Greece) ?Thank you for answer,
Our Eurail passes were bought by our travel agent. Once we got our pass number we followed the instructions to download the app, add all our passes, create a trip etc. This all seemed to work and the app does seem to show our “tickets”. What we now need to do is reserve our seats. All online advice/direction points you to several options including in person at train stations, by phone direct to train company etc. We would like to book our online (Eurail website) which we understand is completely separate from the app - we login to Eurail, go to book reservations, added a trip name, and got stuck at adding travellers to the trip - it will not allow us to - it says “Details don’t match” when we add Last Name and our Pass #….we KNOW they are correct, because the App let us set up our tickets with no issue.I have seen several posts on this issue but the only real resolution I saw was that Eurail had to do something to fix this on the backend!! Can someone help?PS - I have gone directly
Since the eurail reservation has not been working for the past two days, I’m trying to book seat reservations through italiarail.com. There, I found a help article (https://www.italiarail.com/pages/italia-rail-reservations-and-supplements) with these instructions:Reservations can be made directly at a train station or by using the City to City search tool on our website. For seat reservation booking choose "I have a railpass".The trouble is, I don’t see that option anywhere when I try to book one. Does anyone know how to do so?
Hi everyoneI can see that you can either call SNCF to get an pass cover number to book seat reservations in France (I only have a mobile pass). I see that that somebody have been lucky to get the pass cover number directly by asking here in the forum. Hope someone can help me.Best regards,Andreas Drejer
Hi, looking up reservations on the Thalys on the EURail site and saw that reservations were required but no sign that reservations weren’t available for passholders. I bought my family EU passes because we are taking the train for several days, and then went back to make the reservation, and it’s no longer available because they have allocated all their seats to passholders. If I had known I couldn’t get a reservation with the pass I would not have bought it! What can I do besides just request refund?I feel like this is a flaw on their reservations page-- if a reservation is not available for pass holders, they should list it on their route itineraries, even if a pass is not yet added to the account!
Liebe Leute,ich brauche Hilfe und finde sie nicht. Meine Lage:Ich habe für uns als fünfköpfige Familie einen Global Pass (mobil) gekauft. Wir wollen von Deutschland nach Frankreich und wieder zurück fahren, vier Reisetage in einem Monat.Problem 1: Unser erster Reisetag soll am 28.07.2022 sein, so steht es auch für alle fünf Familienmitglieder im Mobilpass. Nun sagt das System aber, wir hätten nur noch drei von vier Reisetage übrig, obwohl wir noch gar nicht gestartet sind.Problem 2: Ich möchte - wie von interrail.eu empfohlen - über diese interrail-Webseite Sitzplatzreservierungen im TGV buchen. Aber es tauchen immer wieder Fehlermeldungen wie “your pass is invalid for this date” auf, dann bekomme ich nur die Möglichkeit nur für drei statt fünf Personen zu reservieren (und das bei wirklich allen Strecken, da können ja nicht überall nur noch drei Sitzplätze übrig sein) und schließlich heißt es, die Preise seien gerade nicht verfügbar, ich solle es später noch einmal versuchen.
