Interrail Pass holders can now travel on Trenitalia France’s Frecciarossa trains, adding another high-speed option for exploring France by train!

This is great. Finally some competition for the high passholder fare on the international TGV. 😀

Plus it fills a big gap in the market between Lyon & Italy.

Alleluia!!! This is long overdue.

And seat reservations are cheap! So far I’ve noticed: 10 EUR for any domestic France trip, 13 EUR for an international trip even in 1st class (compared to the 45 EUR for TGV inoui). It seems there’s a quota on those seats though.

This train today is available even though it seems to be heavily booked.

Maybe the trains I saw as unavailable were sold out. To be tested 👍
