Article 1. The Organiser
The organiser of the Back to the Rails Competition Giveaway (the “Competition”) is Eurail B.V., a private company with limited liability, located at Jaarbeursboulevard 286, 3521 BC, Utrecht, the Netherlands, listed in the Commercial Register of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and Industry under number 30206952 (“Eurail”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Article 4. The Prize
- There are two (2) prize packages to be won. One prize package will be awarded to an entrant whose Country of Residence is an Interrail country (see clause 4.2). The other will be awarded to an entrant whose Country of Residence is a Eurail country (see clause 4.3). The Country of Residence is determined by clause 5 of our Pass Conditions of Use for Interrail and Eurail.
- The Interrail prize package consists of the following:
- 2 × Interrail mobile Global Passes, 1st class, valid for 7 days within 1 month; and
- Accommodation and seat reservations for train and ferry services, all booked and paid for by Eurail, up to a combined maximum amount of €3,000.
- The Eurail prize package consists of the following:
- 2 × Eurail mobile Global Passes, 1st class, valid for 7 days within 1 month; and
- Flight tickets to and from Europe, accommodation and seat reservations for train and ferry services, all booked and paid for by Eurail, up to a combined maximum amount of €5,000.
- Both prize packages are subject to the following conditions:
- The signing of the winner’s agreement by the winner within the required time as referred to in Article 6.
- The awarded Passes may only be used to travel during the periods of either April 2026 to June 2026 or September 2026 to November 2026.
- The winner’s nominated travel companion must be 18 years of age or older.
- Eurail will book flights (Eurail prize package only), accommodation and train and ferry seat reservations based on the winners’ nominations (subject to availability), up to the maximum amounts referred to above. All costs of booking will be deducted from the respective prize packages. Payments are subject to currency exchange rates at the time of purchase, if applicable.
- All nominated flights, accommodation and seat reservations must be in connection to using the awarded Passes.
- During the trip with their awarded Passes, the winners must meet with representatives of Eurail and participate in and be the subject of a documentary style video, photographs and interview to be based on the submitted story. For further details, see the draft winner’s agreement referred to in 6.1(b) below.
- The awarded Passes must be used in compliance with the Pass Conditions of Use. It is the responsibility of the winners to ensure that they and their travel companions meet the eligibility requirements of their awarded Passes.
- Seat reservations are not included in the prize packages (except for as provided by clause 4.2 and 4.3).
- The prize packages are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged, in whole or in part, for another Pass or any other product or service.
- All taxes, costs and other expenses that are not explicitly included in the prize packages are the sole responsibility of the winners and their travel companions. This includes, but is not limited to, transport not covered by the Pass, seat reservations, accommodation, travel insurance, internet connection, cellular data and any other expense related to the use of the awarded Passes.
- The maximum economic value of each prize package is the retail price of the awarded Passes at the time the winners are announced plus the lump sum cash payment.

Article 10. Liability
We will not accept any liability for any alleged loss or damage arising out of, or in connection to, the Competition, these Terms and Conditions or the manner in which the winners of the Competition Giveaway are chosen.
