Milan to Venice

We are planning to do a day trip from Milan to Venice on Wednesday 28/6 or Thursday 29/6. What is the best way to do this with our first class global pass?

You can take the Frecciarossa high-speed trains for 13€, the journey takes 2h27 to Venezia S. Lucia (1 train per hour usually). There are also reservation-free regional trains but they would take too long for a day trip frankly.

Seat reservations are best bought on tickets.oebb.at (no booking fee) : add Interrail/Eurail as a discount and select one-way tickets. Click on the 13€ box of the chosen train and select 1st class.
