Hello,

We need to go from Milan to Tirano on Aug 6th to catch the Bernina express from there at 10am. I thought Trenord has a direct train but I am not finding any. Please help. I am a Eurail pass holder.

Thanks

Karthick

There are works between Colico and Tirano over the summer (90 days). You’ll have to catch a bus for that leg. Itinerary would be as follows:

  • Train Milano Centrale - Colico 06:20 - 07:46
  • Bus Colico - Tirano 07:54 - 09:30

Reservations not possible/available. Hop on and sit wherever you want.

Thank you. Is the bus boarding place in Colico near the train station? Also the place where we get down in Tirano from the bus, is that near the train station where we need to board the Bernina?

Thanks.

Yes right in front in Colico. Follow the crowd.

The Tirano bus station is south of the Italian train station. Take the underpass and you'll arrive at the little square where both Italian and Swiss train stations are located. Again follow the crowd and don't worry. :)
