So what your favourite country to travel with an interrail pass.
I personally am a big fan travelling trough switzerland with an interrail pass. My reasons are:
- No mandatory reservation (except for a couple scenic trains, but there are also reservation free trains on the same routes)
- Many places can be reached directly by train. Lots of hikes that start directly at train stations
- Many scenic trains (Rhätisch Bahn, Centovalli, Zermatt)
- And i just love the mountains.
- Also some ferries(Interlaken) and one cable car(Lauterbrunnen->Grütschalp) are included
- Great youth hostels (i have stayed at Interlaken, Davos, Zürich, Luzern and Zermatt so far)
- (most places speak german so thats also a plus for me since i come from Germany)
- Reliable trains
