Hi, I would like to travel from biarritz to the barcelona - Valencia region, preferably via Northern Spain( Bilbao- San Sebastián) but that seems almost impossible.
Do I really need to take the bus to get there?
do you have suggestions for me?

No-buy a short section by tiny train of Eusko tren.
take local TER/SCNF till border=Hendaye.
Then walk over to other tiny estacion-buy ticket to Donostia (cheap). Or Bilbao-but thats better/quicker to go by BUS from Donsotia (ev 30/60 mins)-though Eusko also runs this route-much slower.
From both you can use RENFE onward via Zaragoza till Barca. REServe mandatory-do that when there at counter a few days advance
